Or did he dive?

I can’t believe that Fredericks incident didn’t even seem to be reviewed.

Errr... because it wasn't a foul in a million years that's why... so why go over it?

Was quite ironic that we looked more of a threat and much more up for it with 10 men than 11. Some of that was villa leaving space for us to counter.
Still, it seems that we sometimes appear to go through the motions in games like these and expect the result will come to us automatically.

Only lost once in 5 games and top half of the table.

I'll fucking take that, as its been a while AND with confidence we'll do the Mancs Sunday.

We have grown and are more classy with the ball, which is why we hung on with 10 men for so long and could have nicked it, although Fabianski was the difference to it not being a draw.

Haller not injured.

Onwards

I can’t believe that Fredericks incident didn’t even seem to be reviewed.
He got ahead of the defender who put a hand in his back and sent him flying
It’s not obvious from behind how much contact there was so why not review?

And also what is the point of a linesman who has a perfect view of Elhohamady diving and just stands by and watches Dean make an idiot of himself.
Sure he should be flagging or what is the point of the flag?
He might as well shove it up his ARSE

So that's twice a ref has made a decision
not to give a penalty and it has not been reviewed by VAR. What is the fucking point if legitimate penalty appeals are not reviewed? It is the same old system and the Liverpools and Man Utds will continue to benefit, and we will get fuck all.

Haller gave his team and manager everything last night.

Real hero, and he got absolutely 0 protection from Dean, which is disgraceful.

I thought Haller ran his bollocks off with very little assistance from anyone else, give him some help up front and games like last nights would be won.

What I learned from yesterday's match:
Anderson can be a lazy cunt at times. Looks like a pattern away from home.
Yarmolenko is miles away from full fitness. The bloke looks like a fit dartplayer.
Masuaku have to sniff the white line before he is interested in crossing pass, to no-one.
Fredericks is a top athlete, but an awful crosser.
Fornals will maybe cut it in a year or two. At the moment he is not even better than the best in our u21

We probably haven't got better players to replace them, and that's why we almost lost this match.

I will desist though because I actually feel sorry for you and think you're mentally unwell.

Crystal, agree we roll the ball for every kick these days. Anderson even pointed where he wanted it stopped, just tells the defenders to be ready to sprint and close the ball down and ensure it comes to nothing, as it does every time.

From the 3 away games we've played i think we should be looking to get more than 1 win and 2 draws. They are exactly the away games we should be looking and expecting to win and rightly so.

______

100% this - we shouldnt be falling for this " any away point is a good point BS - should have got at least another win out of these two drawn games if we have aspirations to progress..

Of two minds...

Yarmelenko looks slow and clumsy right now but he was the most active our players save Rice in the international break, I believe He still has a great shot on him but is that a trait for an impact sub at this point.

Fornals is much quicker and at least tries hard on defence. He is struggling to make an impact in a new situation and was visible embarrassed when his shot went for a corner instead of a goal kick it was so bad, probably why he passed at the end.

One has mental issues , one has physical hopefully one will deal with them sooner rather than later.

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-0
no issues with Fornals performance other than his piss poor decision not to take the shot on at the end of the game. Hopefully he learns from that and next time puts his laces through it and make the keeper work. Other than that he done ok.

We miss Antonio big time. I think he would have won us the game coming off the bench last night.

Hold up, so coming on when a team is 10 v 11 is an advantage for the player?

Things you learn on here

Just shows you how peoples opinions differ even when they watch the same game.
I thought Fornals was okay and looked comfortable on the ball, I would even go as far as to say, that him and Fredericks could be a good partnership down the right given a run together.
